Innovative startup YOOKYE operating in the field of experiential travel
Yookye is an innovative startup born in 2018 and operating in the field of experiential tourism.
The idea from which the Italian company started is to offer tourists tailor-made travel proposals, created by local experts according to the needs and aspirations of users.
Tourists interface with the platform and, through an interactive selection process, express their travel preferences. Local experts, with the help of their territorial knowledge and the artificial intelligence that reworks the information provided, create three tailor-made travel proposals that include: holiday homes (no hotel), services, transfers and experiences.
Further added value is the reliability of the holiday package: the services offered are, in fact, certified by local experts and the related information (e.g. reviews) are recorded on Blockchain and therefore unchangeable.
The platform is operational, accessible at www.yookye.com and the company – all Italian – is composed by Paolo Taricco (CEO), Fabrizio Rossano (CMO), Pietro Ramunno (Press and office).
Yookye: italian startup starring at “Demo Day” in London
After obtaining several awards at Italian level and beyond, such as being selected among the 10 best national startups first by Invitalia, then by Confindustria (Connext), Azimut (Startup Italia), Creatella Venture Buillder Singapore, in March and April Yookye was selected to access an acceleration path with Techitalia Lab in London.
TechItalia is a community that includes 3,000 professionals working in technology in London and is the largest Italian technological ecosystem within the largest European innovation cluster to help the “made in Italy” to grow and develop in the UK.
The participation – Covid-19 case – took place remotely and the startup has been able to confront with Mentor and professionals, obtaining a lot of positive feedback and strengthening – thus accelerating – the path of growth and innovation of its product.
On April 23rd in London in front of a (virtual) audience of 100 people, the startup (together with 5 other Italian companies) presented its project through a 5-minute pitch and answered questions from all over Europe and the world.
Innovative startup next challenge
Now, Yookye’s next challenge will be to position itself as a reference player in the Italian tourism market, first by encouraging “proximity” destinations for the 2020 season and then gradually expanding its path.
Currently on the platform there are 10 active Italian regions, 2,500 holiday homes, 10 selected local experts in the area and 1,600 certified experiences included.
